A Birdhouse a day, recycled fence boards and other stuff
I'm going to start posting a birdhouse a day on my blog. I have been painting full time but have decided I need a diversion from the studio. This birdhouse is my standard sized nest box made for birds to live in. It has a 1-1/8 sized hole for our native songbirds who use a nest box here in the Pacific Northwest. Also a clean out door opening on the right side ....and NO perch, so the predatory birds can't harass the nest box... About 10x10 $25.00 plus shipping

I make my birdhouses out recycled fence boards mostly. The dimensions for most small songbirds that will use a nestbox, are 4 inches by 4 inches inside with about 4 or 5 inches from the hole to the floor. I use a 1.1/8 inch hole size. This will allow entrance for the songbird while frustrating the larger predatory birds.

I havn't been posting much on my birdhouse site. sorry about that. I'm just really trying to spend time painting right now. But I do have alot of birdhouses in stock as the Port Gamble Trading company store in Pt Gamble closed down. So Email me at robinweiss@earthlink.net if you are interested in any nestboxes or feeders. Thanks
